Mini Recorder - iMac Pro - Final Cut Pro

PostMon Mar 19, 2018 8:33 pm

Hello,

Just received a new Mini Recorder.

I am wanting to connect my HDMI/HDV camera to Final Cut Pro X on a new iMac Pro.

I connect the camera to Mini Recorder over HDMI, then Apple Thunderbolt cable to Apple Thunderbolt 2 to Thunderbolt 3 adapter.

Desktop Video Setup does not recognize.

So I bring to MacBook Pro and it is recognized, without the Thunderbolt 2 to 3 adapter.

Is the adapter not supported?

Was able to get Mini Recorder working, by uninstalling and re-installing and then "allowing" software.

Was able to use Desktop Video Setup to setup the Mini Recorder and used Media Express to access camera.

But now, camera is still not available to Final Cut Pro X 10.4.

Is this a known issue that Apple needs to address?

Thank you.

Anyone have a solution for this yet? Trying to exactly this... Create video recordings straight from the ATEM Mini. Not being recognized as a video input.

OBS sees it fine. Maybe OBS be configured to deliver stream to FinalCutPro?
