Use Quicktime or Audio Hijack to capture audio from US4K?

PostMon Apr 16, 2018 3:40 pm

Has anybody successfully used Quicktime or Audio Hijack to capture audio from an Ultrastudio 4K?

In El Capitan, I was using Audio Hijack Pro to capture long stretches of audio from my Ultrastudio 4K, sometimes up to 4 hours at a time. After upgrading to High Sierra, the new version of Audio Hijack doesn't seem to be able to take audio input from the Ultrastudio and that got me looking for an alternative. BlackMagic Media Express will do the capture, but includes video which increases file size drastically. Plus, I've noticed BMME tends to lose the monitoring capability randomly during long records.

Anybody have suggestions on how to get the Ultrastudio recognized by Quicktime, Audio Hijack, or any other app that will allow me to record audio only?
