trying to capture UHD output of MacBook Pro with 4k Decklink

PostSat May 19, 2018 4:27 pm

Hey,

I am trying to connect a HDMI-Output of a Macbook Pro to a HDMI Input Blackmagic 4k DeckLink Mini Recorder. (I need to get as UHD Fullscreen image of that Macbook into another computer. No piracy, it's for an art-installation setup...).
It works pretty well with 3 different Macbooks I have tried. However another MacBookPro (the one of the artist!) doesn't work. It recognises the Blackmagic card as an UHD Screen like the others, but doesn't output any image onto it. (Also in Adobe Premiere I can see the Blackmagic as a Monitor for Fullscreen output, but it is greyed out and I can't select it).

Any ideas, why that happens and how to get around it?
I guessed maybe it is some HDCP-Protection. But why only on one Mac on not on the others?

Any help very much appreciated!
Best, luke
