Best way to hookup eGPU and Connections?

PostMon May 21, 2018 9:36 pm

What is the best way to hook up an eGPU on the Mac? I have two main displays and a third display connected to the UltraStudio mini monitor.

So plug both my GUI displays into the eGPU card? Plug them both into the MacPro trashcan? Plug my main GUI display into the eGPU card and the other into the MacPro? Looking for insight as to the optimum configuration for speed/stability as there is no instruction along these lines in the v14 or v15 manuals.
Configuration:
Resolve Studio (Always the Latest)
Windows 11 Pro Workstation
32 Core AMD Ryzen Threadripper 256GB RAM
RTX 4090
RTX 3090
100G NAS
(1) 32" Ultra-Wide Display, (1) 4K 27” Display

There won't be since eGPU isn't officially supported. Eventually everyone is going to have to figure this out, so it is probably a valid topic nonetheless. My first guess would be to keep the eGPU out of any daisy chains, and especially to keep monitors off any GPU-related Thunderbolt linkages.
