Maybe dumb question regarding Intensity Shuttle

PostTue May 22, 2018 12:43 am

Hi,
I have a question, since I did not found good answer to my questions with google. I use Intensity Shuttle to capture my VHS recordings. Everything is OK. I edit this captured files in FCP. I wonder if I can use Intensity Shuttle to transcode/export this video so it will not overload my CPU and GPU (MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012, i5 2.5 Ghz)?

Can I use it to get better performance in Adobe Premiere CC as well?

best regards

The Shuttle is a interface device, not a processor.

If your edit has no grading or titles, just straight cuts, it'll play from the timeline, assuming your Mac can read the footage fast enough and send it to the shuttle without buffering.

If you've used titles, transitions or graded at all, that needs to render before play out.
