PC Wrangling with BMCC

I understand the SSD cards for the BMCC have to be formated to Mac OSX Extended.

My question is, will you be able to wrangle the SSD drives onto a PC (with the dock connected), while shooting. Or will you need a Mac computer on set?

I guess what I'm asking is, what is the workflow for transferring footage from the SSD cards to PC or an external hard drive connected to a PC.

Cheers.

Joe

You would install Macdrive (or equivalent) on your PC to be able to read/write and format Mac formatted drives in the PC (that's what I use).

However.... if you happen to be staring at the Black Magic web site home page today you may just happen to notice there is an annoucement for "ExFAT" support for the Hyperdeck "coming in September". That apparently will mean the drives will be compatible in both PC Windows and Mac environments.

Thanks for the helpful reply.

Good news about that ExFAT shuttle.
