So we have a Broadcast Videohub 72/144, and several other Blackmagic components on the rack. This router is new to us (used), and is an upgrade from our previous Smart Videohub CleanSwitch 12x12. We're having a problem that I can't quite pinpoint, and i'm hoping the description will ring a bell here...
Basically, the signal path is:
DVW-A500 Deck -> VideoHub -> Teranex Upconvert 1080p/23.98 -> Videohub -> Multibridge Pro II Capture
The output of the Teranex is clean, the output of the DVW-A500 is clean (both monitored on the rack)
The signal into the Multibridge Pro is glitchy - that is, occasional black frames. The output of the Multibridge Pro is also a bit glitchy, but not always in sync with what we see in FCP's tape capture window. It's not constant, but it's frequent enough that if you watch the video for about a minute, you're sure to see it.
When I plug the output of the Teranex directly into the Multibridge Pro, bypassing the router, the glitching goes away entirely.
So what might cause this to happen? We never had this issue with the Cleanswitch 12x12. Could it be an issue in the router? a sync thing?
