calculation overlay

PostFri Jun 08, 2018 3:04 am

Hi all. I'm new to video editing (Been a photographer for years so I understand editing to a point) and new to Resolve. I have been shooting video for my fire department and we have decided to really focus on public safety videos and the sort. One idea I have is to have a calculator of some kind overlay in the video and tally up a cost. is there a program or add in that will allow for this. the thought of making this by hand in photoshop makes my head hurt. Any help would be appreciated.

It sounds like you’re looking to put together some sort of animation. If that’s the case, the new version of Resolve has Fusion bundled in it. I think that’s probably your safest bet. Of course, After Effects is another option.

You’d still need to design your elements, what you’ll be animated. And you can do that in photoshop.

Hope it helps.

Or you could pull up your desktop calculator and do screen grabs of various numbers in the register... animate that... don't know what the copyright permission would be...
