strange 'feature' with audio inputs on VA4k

PostFri Jun 22, 2018 4:11 pm

I just noticed this weird 'feature' (bug ?) on my VA 4k (2.5.2)
I have a setup where video comes from HDMI input and audio from analog sources using XLR Line.
Audio Ch 1 & Ch 2 are both configured as XLR line.
As soon as I connect a computer with a DisplayPort connector (DisplayPort -> HDMI cable), the audio inputs are incorrectly routed as follows: Analog Audio IN 1 is muted and IN 2 is routed to both Ch 1 and Ch 2, resulting in a center-panned right-only mono sound ! As soon as the video is disconnected, audio channels return to their normal configuration.
There is no problem if the source is a true HDMI source (instead of a DisplayPort computer output)
Is this by design ?
Any workaround ?
