Hybrid disc concern

Hello everybody,

We currently experience some lagging when grading 4K footage with applied filters. We were wondering if it has anything to do with the hybride drive we are using. Would you recommend taking out the hybrid drive and replace it a 2TB SSD? And if yes, does it matter if is an Samsung Evo or a Samsung Pro?

Thank you for your time.

It's hard to say without more information. From your signature, my first guess is that you're maxing out your GPU. What kind of media are you working with, and what kind of effects?

Hi Jack,

Thank you for your reply. We mainly work with Rec709 and occasionally we do some 4K work.
I guess we only ran into issues applying a noise effect on a 4K project.

If we are maxing out our GPU what do you recommend?

I just created a new post with the question if our GPU needs to be in Slot 1 on our motherboard.
It currently is not.

Thanks!

You will definitely max out one 1080 doing NR on 4K footage. Add another 1080, your system should have enough lanes.
