Sending the reference to an external display in DaVinci

Is the only way of using a second display (a normal non-SDI computer monitor) with DaVinci through the UltraStudio miniMonitor? Am I correct in thinking that I can't send a panel to a second display via HDMI or DisplayPort?

Yes, you need a Decklink/UltraStudio output device for fullscreen reference video. A normal monitor connected to your GPU can be used for dual screen mode, which you may find helpful.
