PostWed Jul 25, 2018 10:32 am

"So much more than just a universal media player. Playback of almost any professional format. Review on SDI, dual monitor, split view, VR 360, 180. Comprehensive media management through the Construct. Metadata management, reporting, QC and Look creation. And of course render output: ProRes (on both OSX and Windows!), H264 (up to 8K) and H265 /HECV (up to 12bit)."

+ it will do HDR report with MaxFALL and MaxCLL values.

All for 19$ per month (or 199$/year)

Wow, this is an excellent companion to Resolve for Windows users, for export alone.

I did not try it on PC, but looks like it even does ProRes XQ.

Yep. I exported one of the BMD 4.6K DNG samples as UHD 4444 XQ, about 22fps on my 1950x. Average bitrate 1623Mb/s, bit depth 16, correctly identified in Resolve and MediaInfo.

This is big news - an ideal companion product for DaVinci on Win10 where Colorists need a player with Decklink SDI monitoring and 'certified' ProRes export.

+ GUI preview is 10bit (with dedicated 2nd full screen and sync with monitor) on Quadros and AMD Pro cards and should be color accurate.
They also have other small things, eg when you export Arri RAW its all metadata will be passed to exported MOV headers. You can even define own metadata fields and they will be written to MOV and seen in Mediainfo etc. I wish Resolve could do this.
