Hi,

I have edited a video that is about 3h long.(final product) It seems like I need to wait about 5h to have it rendered and exported. Am am doing something wrong with the setting?

I took about twenty , 20min long 480p videos, I cut each video and made a long , 3h video .
I didnt change anything in regards to audio, video , color correction , effects.
My output is youtube 480p ,

Is there a way to speed up the process? I 'm probably doing something wrong.

Thank you ,

You don't tell us about your machine, but if you encode into H.264 that might be normal.

Using a drive other than the one with your footage as the target when rendering might help, but in general you need to understand that internally DR decodes everything into a very high-quality format for color grading (32 bit float precision) and in the end it's converted back into your target format.

If you don't need effects and grading, a very simple editing program might be faster.

Or simple transcoding tool as some NLEs still do unnecessary conversions under the hood.
Resolve is not the best tool for simple conversions.

Thanks for you help,
I was hoping that this soft has an option to cut videos without the rendering, if you don't it.
I wanna learn video editing , including adding effects, color correction etc, thats way i chose DR.

You choose the right tool, then.
But for simply rearranging clips without any changes to them there are simpler tools.
