Micro Converter BiDirectional : HDMI IN + HDMI OUT &SDI OUT

PostTue Aug 07, 2018 5:18 pm

Hello,

I have a question regarding the Blackmagic Micro Converter BiDirectional SDI/HDMI :

I'm interested in this device for a particular setup :
A camera films a specific scene, connects in HDMI to capture the feed.
I would like to plug the camera in HDMI to this converter, use the HDMI OUT port to connectedly directly to a TV for live broadcast to the audience + use the SDI OUT to connect to a acquisition device (which one?) on a MacBook Pro (USB-C / Thunderbolt 3) to stream to the Internet using OBS.

Is this possible with this device ?

A possible scenario would also be to have 2 cameras filming 2 people on the stage, each of them using a Micro Converter BiDirectional SDI/HDMI to broadcast to its own separate TV + gather the 2 SDI feeds on the MacBook Pro to use OBS.

Thanks for your help/answers/ideas!

Antoine
