Reading a Pix5e 1080i59.94 on a IMac

PostThu Sep 06, 2018 4:56 am

Having an issue getting a 1080i59.94 ProRes 4.2.2 file recorded with a Pix5e, to download in an IMac. The Pix Speed Drive is recognized and you can see the ProRes 1080p files, but not the 1080i file. Any thoughts on how to get the IMac to see the interlaced ProRes file. Recording was made with a Micro Studio Camera that was set to 1980i59.94, recorded on a Pix5e in ProRes. Thanks
Cheers

Have you heard from the vendor about a possible solution?

Thanks Rick, Yes, I did so today. Video Devices tech support recorded a clip in 1080pi59.94, to a Speed Drive and had no issue transferring it to a 2012 iMac running 10.13.6, and suggested trying another computer. I have a feeling my issue might be caused by having both 1080p29.97 and 1080i59.94 clips on the same Speed Drive, with the older progressive clips recorded first. I had intended on reformatting the drive, but in my haste, forgot to do so. Lesson learned here, always update firmware, and format drives first. Lesson learned— again!

OK, managed to transfer the 1080i file to my old (pre trash can) MacPro, it was a little slow, but got the job done. Mischief managed!
