Digitizing in Premier Using Mini-Recorder

I am trying to use Mini-Recorder to ingest from an HDV deck to an iMac. Anyone have experience with this?
Desktop Video sees my Mini-Recorder connected, but shows no incoming video. Appreciate any advice. Connecting to the deck via SDI.
