Mini Monitor + Dell 2408wfp overscan - external monitor crop

PostThu Oct 04, 2018 9:28 pm

Hello,

I have some problem with external monitor and cropped image:
I use MacBook Pro with MiniMonitor and Dell 2408wfp over HDMI input. The problem is that the picture on the external monitor Is slightly cropped (around 5%) in comparison to the viewer on the main screen in MacBook. I tried dozen of different options and no success - the Dell has turned on 1:1 aspect ratio. The only "working" solution Is to scale down the output monitoring around 5% which means I set up the output monitoring to 1805x1026px (0.95x 1900x1080) and then I see 100% picture size (not cropped) on the external monitor / but this can't be the real solution I think... This scaling also degrades the image quality, so I would like to know how to output the real 1080p without any scaling and overscan etc.

Krzysztof
