Capture greyed out for use with SDI Decklink 4k

I'm attempting to transfer vhs/beta tapes to my computer with a JVC Hr9600 to a snell and wilcox nrs30 to an analogue to sdi converter to a teranaex av out to an sdi decklink 4k converter on my pc computer. It allows for capture with the media express software. However, the option to capture in davinci Resolve Studio is greyed out. Any idea why this is?

Do you have a capture device selected in Video and Audio I/O under Resolve preferences?

Hi Jack. Yes, the decklink sdi is shown in the preferences. However, the capture option is greyed out under File/ capture.
