MacBook Pro Retina MBC Window Bug

PostWed Aug 22, 2012 3:05 pm

I am running OS X 10.8 on my MacBook Pro with Retina.

Resolve Version: 9.0.0b.067

Processor 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 1024 MB
Software OS X 10.8 (12A269)

The footage is from the recently released BlackMagic Cinema Camera footage from JB. When I try to use a window, the display goes crazy!

Eventually it will tell me this:
Your GPU memory is full.
Try reducing the timeline resolution or the number of correctors

I am running one node with several curves and color wheel adjustments.

Did you find a solution for this?

Can't really get more memory for the GPU.

I'm like a few hours off of getting this same Macbook Pro setup. =T

Well, it seems to be working at the moment... so.. maybe it just pops up under certain circumstances... hmm..

I use gfxCardStatus (A freeware application) to force the use of my NVIDIA card instead of the Intel one. If you're still getting the error, you may have just to many nodes and complex grades for that machine to handle. That freeware also works very well with PPCS6 as it sometimes crashes if the auto GPU switch happens at the wrong time during software startup.
