PostFri Dec 14, 2018 11:18 pm

Hi,
Please Help!

My 'Decklink HD Extreme 3D+' card has 2 inputs and 2 outputs , but Desktop Video 10.9.12 / Media Express shows only one device. (ch A works, but B) so I can't play anything on channel B.

I tried LiveKey but did not get Key out. (Just gives the Fill on ch A)

Please see the following info and tell me : my device is broken / should I make certain settings / something else ?

This is correct, the device is single channel/half duplex. The A/B inputs and outputs are to support key/fill or dual-link SDI. The card should support external keying up to 1080i, above this the outputs switch to dual-link. To get a key/fill pair (up to 1080i) you need to send the card a 32-bit image.

Dave , Thank you so much for the answer

you said:
"The card should support external keying up to 1080i"
,So please tell me why I can't get separate Key and Fill signal using LiveKey while internal key works perfect with 32-bit image?

I also tried Photoshop , but the result is the same.

I thought that this card can give 2 separate SD outputs simultaneously, Now I'm sad.  :? :? :( :(

At least I hope with your help I can use that to external keying.

I have no experience with external key, please guide me

Hi,

I've never used Livekey so can't help there. If in external key mode, you send a 32bit graphic you should get the fill output on O/P A and key on O/P B. In internal key mode you get the keyed image on both outputs (upto 1080i).

What do you get on your outputs in external key mode?

Regards,

Dave.

Hi,

If your key output is black you may have a problem with the alpha channel in your graphic. On my system (in external key mode) a graphic with no alpha channel will show all white on the key output, a blank alpha will show black, as I’d expect.

Can you post your graphic?

Regards,

Dave.

Hi, Dave

I tested an image with my friend's card (duo 2), it works fine, but my own card (Decklink HD Extreme 3D+) doesn't work.
Maybe I don't know a hidden settings of Decklink HD Extreme 3D+ !

Do you have any idea about my another post?

Hi,

All I can say is external keying should work on a Decklink HD Extreme 3D card as I use these cards for this. The only setting I can find which breaks it is the RGB4444 output.

Perhaps your particular card is faulty, do you definitely have black on the key o/p not 'no signal'?

My Desktop Video version is 10.9.10.

Hi,

Dave , Thank you for the reply and the image.

Sorry, I did not explain well. I have no signal on the key o/p.

I can see Fill signal on o/p A , but for o/p B may monitor say "No Signal".

So my card is faulty? :( :( :(

Hi,

Just try sending a standard video file via Media Express, both outputs should be active. If your B output still has no signal, then it sounds very much like a faulty card.

Also try a reboot of the machine, when the drivers load you should see black at whatever default video standard you have set in the Desktop Video control panel.

Hi Dave,

I tried both ways that you said also tried Desktop Video 10.11.4, but B output still has no signal.

At least with your help I realized that my card is faulty. :(

Thank you so much
