Since some of the models have either TB2 or TB3, can you use an adapter or conversion cable to switch the TB type to match your connector on your laptop without any issue?

I'm using the Mini Monitor (TB2) with an adapter by Akitio without a problem on my iMac 2017 (TB3).
Now that the cat #19 is out of the bag, test it as much as you can and use the subforum.

I have a Sony J30 SDI and I need to go from the iLink to the Thunderbolt 3 on my Lenovo. Any thoughts?

Hello Sean. It's important to note the UltraStudio HD Mini requires Thunderbolt 3 power so a TB2 adapter will not work with this model.

Hi Gary or anyone,

Can you tell me what the power requirements beyond the Thunderbolt 3 connector/cable.
I am looking at getting an external hub to power the Ultrastudio Mini given I do not have any USB C/Thunderbolt 3 ports on my computer and need to plan if I only need 15W or if I need more.

Thanks.
