Decklink mini monitor - RGB vs YCbCr

PostSun Dec 16, 2018 4:23 pm

Hello everyone! Right now I'm trying to achieve fullscreen playback on davinci resolve, and so I need to buy decklink mini monitor. So the question is: I have RGB-only DVI monitor, which version of decklink mini monitor should I use? Search all over the internet, read all blackmagic documentation, what i've found: decklink mini monitor only supports hdmi YCbCR output (and it's like "1080i60", interlaced?), so I need some converter to convert YCbCr to RGB (or not? maybe new drivers support HDMI 1080p RGB output?). On the other hand there is decklink mini monitor 4K, and it can output RGB 1080p hdmi signal (or it can't? I just dont understand it, official docs says, it only supports 1080p60 4:4:4, not RGB). So I am really confused. No need in 10 bit output, just 8bit. So, what should I buy? decklink mini + converter or decklink mini 4K, or maybe decklink mini + new monitor? :)
