DeckLink Studio 2 fan is shot. Need new fan.

PostTue Jan 22, 2019 4:41 pm

Greetings, all!

I have two DeckLink Studio 2 PCI cards, both having cooling fans that are shot. When I first power on the Macs, the fans make an loud buzzing noise that eventually goes away. However, that is taking longer and longer to happen. The fans need to be replaced.

What kind of fan is on each card? Is that something that is easily sourced? I really need replace these before they completely grind to a halt.

I do know it's the fans on the cards. I've removed the cards from the computers and the computers are now quiet as they should be.

Thanks much!

Hear here!
Same, I am going to try finding a BIG heat sink on ebay or amazon and some heat sink glue...rubber bands would probably work just fine too.

Same question here. Decklink Duo 2 cooler fan specification could be handy...
