Hey all, I've been using Resolve for a few months now, and while it's certainly not the first program I've used to grade, it's now the one that I've delved into the deepest. I'm at the point where I have a decent understanding of all the basic tools (haven't gone into parallel or layer nodes yet, for example, but I have a good handle on the qualifier, tracker, etc.), and I'd like to now, for a bit, focus more on the art than the technique.
By that I mean that I'm looking for breakdowns of specific looks, so that I can play around and try to recreate them. To teach my eye that "Oh, if I'm looking for
that look, then I need to lift the reds but crush the greens". A great example is this tutorial I found earlier:
I don't necessarily like those looks, but now I have a basic understanding of how to get them. And I'd love to expand my knowledge bank, in my head, of looks. If anyone knows of some good video tutorials (free or for pay) I'd love to know about them. Everything I'm finding is how to use the TOOLS, but not how the color science works that gets you to a certain LOOK.
