Feature request: Metadata into AVID

PostTue Sep 11, 2012 7:01 pm

Hi,

I've seen that it is possible to enter Metadata for each clip loaded into Mediapool.
Especially for dailies creation it would be more than great that this data holds on
through the process of transcoding into DNxHD.mxf for the direct use in AVID.

Is this possible? If not, please implement it ;-)

Best regards,
Gerhard

Hey Gerhard,

Have you tried using the ALE export from the conform page? It definitely has the metadata in there.

Cheers,

Andrew

Thanks Andrew, I have forgotten about this feature.
Yes, all metadata is in the ALE. What would be cool for me,
if it is possible to change the Name in the ALE (first column) to
Scene-Shot-Take (like 10-1-1). Good for dailies creation.

Thanks,
Gerhard

I agree completely.

I would want the option to use just scene & take. 23A-1

Maybe just an additional input box for "Name" where you can fill in whatever you
want and which is used as column "Name" in AVID. Maybe if you jump from clip
to clip your automatically directed to this box and able to fill it in without using
the mouse to get there (just an idea).

Also a shortcut for flagging the clips would be great, I always flag the good takes.
