DaVinci Revival for Mac

PostTue Sep 11, 2012 7:38 pm

We are looking to purchase a Revival for our company to do SD based automatic cleaning on some very poor material from WW2. Given that all the source material is SD and we don't ever expect to do cleaning in HD, and on a scale of 0 to 10, 10 being absolute pristine restoration and 0 is the untouched material, we are aiming for a 5, is it reasonable to spend US $8k on a Z800 workstation with 2x Intel Xeon 5690 and 24GB of RAM? I feel it is an absolute overkill for our purposes.

My other question is relating to the subject of this query, and it is if anyone has any idea about the possibility of Revival being ported to the Mac platform. How nice would that be if you can work on the same machine in tandem with DaVince Resolve.

Thanks

I would also love to see this ported over to MAC.

Looking into another solution from cinnafilm - dark energy, or possibly PFclean - unless the davinci boys can step up and take the market...
