I understand that if your camera can record two versions simultaneously, that the low res version can be used to generally edit and edit colour change and so on and that those changes can be applied to the higher res version afterwards.

Please can anyone either explain how this is done ,or, show me where there is a article on this as I am not getting very far with a goggle search.
