Decklink via USB?

PostThu Apr 18, 2019 12:50 pm

I’ve used all of my PCI-e slots in my PC, but wondering if there’s a way to configure an SDI out (Decklink or other) through a USB 3.0 port. Any suggestions?

If you have TB3 you might..

But also thing about machine performance. You will max out somewhere that the PC will not run it smooth anymore.. ;)

And otherwise think about different decklink cards.. Like the Quad 2 cards.

Thanks! Unfortunately i dont have a TB3 port. My used PCI-e slots aren’t currently used for Decklink. It’s filled with a GTX 2070, 10Gb ethernet card, and UA audio card.

You have this:

HDMI up to 1080 60i only. Also- sometimes it can be picky depending on USB3 controller used in your machine.

There use to be:

I think this worked for me on one computer ever. Not a fan of the older USB 3.0 BMD stuff.
