Hyperdeck Extreme 8k HDR and time base corrector

PostSat Apr 20, 2019 5:40 pm

The new Hyperdeck Extreme 8k is supposed to be able to transfer legacy video tapes direct to a memory card in h.265 codec. I'm wondering if there is a built in time base corrector in the system. Or would you still need to have a separate time base corrector for this?

If your goal is to dub from a pro deck...hdcam or dvcpro or something like that, I would think you are fine. If you are thinking a VHS machine, I would think that machine is still going to need some tbc help.

Those new boxes have less and less legacy related features.
