BMPCC4K Blank File Icons

PostWed Jun 12, 2019 10:55 pm

Hi all - wondering if anyone might be able to help with this,

Long story short, I'm an aspiring filmmaker working on an indie movie, and I recently got the BMPCC4K to help out with this. I’m recording my files onto a Samsung T5 SSD, formatted through the camera for exFAT, since I’ll be editing on a Windows computer. Any files I've recorded have been different flavors of ProRes, but all seem to have this same issue:

When I connect the T5 to my computer, and view the files through Windows File Explorer, all of the file icons are blank, not showing a ‘screenshot’ from the actual video to represent the clip, as per the usual that I’ve seen before. Wondering if there is a fix for this at all?
This is a big pain when moving/copying files around, as I can’t see what the files actually are, and am currently having to look at the metadata to find the film date, and go from there. The icons do show up in Premiere, however.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks,
Bryce
