Hi there,

I've just filmed a promotional video for a restaurant and it's my first shoot with the Ursa Mini 4.6k. Struggling to find any useable LUTs to give the video a natural look. Any recommendations?

I filmed in FILM mode, RAW 3:1 at 4.6K.

The Extended Video LUT look is a pretty neutral and pleasing look IMO.

No, no... the OP was asking for "natural", and um

what passes for "natural" in LA for example would be... er... Marc? Need some help here.

My advice: don't use a LUT at all and just color-correct it with the controls in Resolve. The normal decoding available from Blackmagic's own color science is very good, judging by the BMD Raw samples I've seen. It needs minimal adjustment.

What does help is to shoot color charts on set, like the X-Rite Color Checker Video or the DSC Chroma DuMonde, and with those you'll get a sense of where the levels need to be.

Our eyes only see teal and orange because the smog filters out most visible light. You get used to it.
