Desktop video questions

PostThu Sep 13, 2012 5:28 am

So I have owned the intensity pro for a really long time and I use it solely for video game recording because of the uncompressed avi format and the ease it gives me with editing. I was wondering why doesn't the Intensity Pro support 8 channel audio recording and will it ever be possible for the Intensity Pro to pass through a 1080p59 signal and record it in 1080p30? I only ask this because other products are starting to add a 1080p59 to 1080p30 option so that the user can capture footage at 1080p30.

When that board was designed years back, it was only a two channel board. So unfortunately that is a hardware limitation that will stick around on that board.

Similarly the hardware cannot support high p modes and doesn't support any processing to bring the image down in size to a captureable format.
