Time Stamps on BMD video assist

PostWed Jun 26, 2019 3:14 pm

I'm using the smaller black magic design video assist monitor to take an SDI feed of court hearing so I'm rolling on several hours of footage and I'm having trouble with the timecodes.

Every time I pause recording the time stamp jumps back to zero and starts over. This makes it very difficult to quickly get to clips I want to use.

I've been using the device for about a week and a half and it just recently started doing this.

Is there a setting that's been changed or something I can do to make sure the timecode will continue counting up even after pausing and restarting the recording?

Thanks!

Generally speaking, you have to set the time code from Rec Run to Free Run.
