tracking data not stored in memories or stills

PostWed Aug 22, 2012 5:24 pm

I tried both full version mac and lite version pc with same results

when a grade containing a power window with a color key inside and a track is stored as a memory or still, when recalling it, the tracking data is not there, I have to undo to recall the track data.

I saved 2 versions of a grade where the key inside had two different hues and when I tried to compare the 2, no tracking data was recalled

thanks

forgot to add

thats on beta 3

That's questionably a feature instead of a bug.

For instance: Why would you want to apply tracking data to a clip other than the one that was tracked? It wouldn't match up.

If you're using it as a way to try out different grades on one clip, the versions feature might be a better way.

you can copy and paste node content to another including tracking data, color, etc. Just be sure not to mark the checkbox "Handle mixed frame rates" in the project settings. Otherwise the copy/paste function will not work. this seems to be a bug.

your workflow is not really appropriate for Resolve at this time. Instead, create a new version of the grade. Check the manual for details on grade versions.

I do think Resolve needs to maintain animation curves in stills and memories, though...
