New MTS/AvCHD container ac3 audio support

PostWed Jul 26, 2017 9:51 pm

Before it gets swamped in the noise, just want to say thanks again to the BM development team for beeing one of the few companies that actualy listen to user requests.
For a long time users incl myself have been asking and hoping for support for reading audio from sony and similar mts/avchd containers. So far we had to resort to rewrapping and transcoding tools to work with it in resolve. Even if we wanted to transcode in resolve to create dailies for example or to use resolves great deinterlacer we first had to rewrap using 3rd party tools.
Not anymore since the last beta. So again thanks a lot for this , which reduces these workflows tremendously and also for all other new amazing features on the list to long te even start mentioning.
Looking forward to the final release and the further development and full implemenation of fairlight incl proper multichannel audio output support.

Yes that is good news. But MTS files with a cross dissolve are still a mess.
