Audio is missing from clips in timeline.

PostFri Jul 28, 2017 7:08 am

I brought a number of clips from a BMPC into Resolve, color-corrected them, and dumped them into a timeline for export. The files have audio and video from the camera.

I have audio exporting on.

Although audio plays fine in the timeline, the exported clips are devoid of audio; except a couple of them that contain an aribtrary snippet about three seconds long that doesn't match the video. It's the exact same snippet in the two files or so that have it, and I don't even know which file it comes from. In one file, the audio snippet is added about 14 1/2 seconds in, and in another it's about a second later.

So, as it stands, the product is unusable because I can't export color-corrected footage that I can sync with audio in an editing application (like Premiere).

And I can't edit entirely in Resolve, because audio panning is broken and all the audio is stuffed into the left channel.

Re: Audio is stripped from clips on export

I started a new project and dragged some BMPC camera footage in. Regular ProRes files with audio from the camera.

There's no audio on playback in the timeline at all. Zero. If I double-click on a timeline event to put it in the source viewer, audio plays. But playing the same thing back in the timeline produces no sound, and there's nothing shown on the meters. But there is a waveform shown in the timeline track.

Also, the Fairlight page mysteriously shows "no clip" for audio on the track where there most obviously IS a clip. Screen shot below.

I've been using Resolve 14 for CinemaDNG processing to Cineform and recently to XDCAM for editing and the media always comes out just fine.

Currently running 14b6 on Windows 10.

Sure. This is Resolve 14 beta 6.

I started a new project today, imported footage from a couple of different shoots (UHD ProRes 422 HQ with BMPC camera audio), and once again there's simply no audio when the material is played in a timeline. When the clips are played in the preview viewer, there's audio.

I updated the thread title to reflect the real situation.

I'm on the same iMac and seem ok to me. Can you export a drp and PM to me?
