Tracking bug with "center crop" setting Resolve 14b7

PostWed Aug 16, 2017 1:57 pm

Always present the problem of tracking windows using "center crop" setting as shown in the video:

The problem is present in the Resolve 14b7 for Mac and in the Studio version for Windows.

I can track no problem using Center crop with no resizing. I even tried setting part of the window outside of the frame, no problem.

If you want to dropbox a file, I'll take a look at it on my machine.

It's not a clip problem, it's an old bug that occasionally reappears in new versions, I happened in 9 then solved, in 11 then solved.
This video explains well what I'm talking about and more about it:

Okay, I tried a bunch of different combinations of changing timeline aspect ratio, edit resizing and couldn't get the tracker to fall off. That said, when I change from Center crop no resizing to Scale entire image to fit, I notice that the tracker jumps a bit to the side. But if I re-track it looks fine. So I really don't know what to say, or how to understand this.

I'm going to bow out of this one, because I'm not really familiar enough with the issue to provide much help, and would probably just be adding static to an issue that's already well understood by other users.
