Based on the screen shot, r3d files, its likely your system resources or settings but you havent shared enough detail for anyone to help.
Try rendering one clip first to see how that works, and then please review

More an FR than a bug, but I guess there's a chance it could make it into this version...

Be nice to be able to see divergence in the mixer (rather than having to open the pan window)

Fairlight: Display bug

The text display on the fairlight timeline gets mixed up when scrolling horizontally.

Sometimes the appended track info (that is unique to Fairlight page) swaps with different tracks, sometimes it changes to timecodes, sometimes the clip names swap with different tracks.

Using Studio-B3, no more need for compound clips for motion graphics! thanks!

When doing motion graphics and switching to the Fusion workspace half the UI freezes on the previous workspace (Usually Edit) until I go to 'Workspace/reset UI'.

Auto-sync doesn't appear to be working. Also still have to move clips to the same bin to Auto-sync (be good if a smart bin could work as an auto-sync holder if it has to be bin based?)

Been there for a while:

Jumping from edit to edit with focus on edit index correctly shows one line of the EDL highlighted.

Switch to Timeline having focus and two lines are highlighted on EDL when jumping from edit to edit.

This is happening more frequently since beta 2. I'll be doing my color correction/grading, get to where I want to qualify my skin tones, create a node, then click the qualifier and click in the image and nothing happens. The little icon doesn't even show up in the node. I have to save my work and quit DR, then re-open it, and then it will work.

I would love to have the "Flags" keyboard shortcuts also enabled in the Media panel, actually they works only in Color Editing. They are very useful when I need to select and cull my footage in a quick way.

Things to do to reproduce the issue:

- Set a custom key to one of the flags (ex. Orange).
- Try to use the key in the Media or Editing Panel.

Hi Oliver,

In all the MEDIA, EDIT and COLOR panels, when you are not playing (at a standstill), you position the playhead manually and then double-tap the letter 'M': you can add a marker.

If you position it in MEDIA, the marker is reported in EDIT and also in COLOR. :)

in viewtopic.php?f=32&t=73522#p411929 you'll find a possible cause for this particular behaviour -- although it's nevertheless an annoying bug.

Thank you Jean, the keyboard shortcuts for adding the markers are ok, the "flags" are not working, they are useful for me by showing an icon on the clip that makes it easily recognisable in the media bin. If you try to add a flag using a shortcut (I have set a custom key for it) it doesn't works.

Have no sound from imported AVC (*.mts) files from my Panasonic GH 2 camcorder when playing them from timeline or preview window, despite It shows the sound waveforms.
Weirdly, my notebook with the same 15 Beta 3 version doesn`t have this issue.
Update 22/May: The 14.3 version that I just reinstalled to replace 15 Beta 3 NOW shows the same 15 Beta 3 sound problem! And note that I tested the same 14.3 version for weeks and had no audio problem.
All other kind of sound files plays normally.

AAF Transforms/Resizes from Avid:

3D Warp - comes across correctly to edit sizing
Picture in Picture - does not translate to Resolve Edit sizing (error message on import to inform)
Frameflex - cropping comes across but the resize does not (thus postage stamp in Resolve)

Resolve 15 Beta often crashes when duplicating timelines.

Also, a nice addition would be a command similar to the Q and W keys in Premiere. Resolve's ripple edit commands don't work quite the same way and are a little less intuitive.

But I'm really getting into using Resolve 15!

I don't know is it bug or not but turning on the waveform during playback I found 20% increase of CPU load. At a desktop this is not a problem but not in the case of less powerful laptop.
Is it possible to switch rendering of waveform to GPU somehow?

Don't know if this was a bug in earlier versions, but in Beta 7 waveform is shifted over to the left and cut off. Other scopes appear normal. Appears this way whether window is 1 up, 2 up or 4 up.

Minor Video Transition bug

When using the Motion transitions (Push or Slide), applying the transition to more than one stacked layers causes the image to break up unpredictably. To replicate:

1) place an clip or still on the timeline
2) place a text element or partially transparent image above it on the timeline
3) place a Push transition on the end of the clip
4) place an identical Push on the transparent element above
5) scrub the timeline during the transition and observe the image of the clip get jumbled

I started a new thread by mistake so just to keep things all in one place, the Output Blanking feature is off. Everything looks fine inside Resolve, but after rendering a video the blanking is all on the top of the video with nothing on the bottom. To be clear, if there's supposed to be 1" of black bar on the top and bottom, there's actually a 2" bar on top and nothing on the bottom.

Maybe related to this fix, I noticed after upgradeing to Beta 8 and rendering out single clips, that my video fades (using the clip fade handles) did not work in the delivery page and rendered files. I had output blanking enabled (Timeline -> Output Blanking). Only after resetting the output blanking from the menu and re-applying it, this seems to work correctly again.

Just happened to have rendered a short clip with fade at the beginning and the end with output blanking and the fades worked correctly.

Re: V15 bugs

I have a bug on 15.1.2.008 whereby pieces of audio are repeating from the beginning on playback. I.e., the clip gets to the end, and plays a few frames from the beginning of the clip again.

In this instance, I have a few clips of audio that this is inexplicably happening to. When I play back (using the play button or spacebar) or when I export the video, the problem happens. However, when I either hold the forward key, tap through, or scrub through, it does not.

Carefully looking at the audio frame by frame, the audio does not repeat in the track in itself, this is merely Resolve rendering it to repeat randomly.

Further, when playing back in the Fairlight screen, the problem happens 3 out of 4 times, but sometimes, the audio plays perfectly properly. In the Edit page, the problem happens every time.

It does not happen to all tracks and clips, just some of them.

This is, sadly, stopping me from delivering to a client, so I hope someone might be able to advise of a possible fix.

EDIT: It's now adding to the beginning of the clip as well. For example, in this case, I have vows from a wedding ceremony. In the original audio, the groom says, "I (first name surname)". This bug makes the audio "I.. I (first name surname).. I". So it's adding the "I" to the beginning and the end.

EDIT 2: Now Resolve is playing back the two audio channels at different times! The left channel is coming out a couples of ms before the right channel. I can confirm they are perfectly aligned in Fairlight.

Another audio issue.

When exporting a video, Resolve increases the volume quite a lot, causing audio to peak.

The audio on my timeline is perfect - no peaks, nothing even near peaking. But after exporting, the volume is significantly boosted and there is peaking throughout. I have not done any post-production work on the audio - it's straight as it was from the recorder.

Even if I export with reduced levels, the audio coming out after the export peaks.

Resolve shouldn't be increasing the volume of my tracks without me telling it to.

UPDATE: I managed to stop Resolve doing this by deleting the audio track and putting it back in. I had not done anything to the audio in post-production - nothing was changed, no effects put on, etc. This was 100% a Resolve bug. Hope that helps!

I have another audio bug:-

When applying a FairlightFX to a track, and then removing that FairlightFX, Resolve will then play back the 2 audio channels of the same track at two different times... a few milliseconds apart from each other... when they previously played together just fine.

Yet another audio bug...

Fairlight has reduced the volume of one of my tracks to almost nothing without me doing anything. One minute it was playing fine, the next, it's about 15Db less than what it was before. I have not done anything to it, and the waveforms are the same height as they were before. The only way to fix was to restart and lose unsaved work.

The other track on the project worked fine. Visually and effects-wise nothing changed. It was purely what Fairlight was outputting.

Note another bug: this restart then also deleted the noise reduction profile and track movement (moved by a few milliseconds) I had done, even though that had previously been saved. I.e., I applied noise reduction successfully, moved the track saved, worked on the project, saved some more, carried on working on the project, then the volume bug happened, I restarted, and now the noise reduction and track move work I did is gone.

Update: I can replicate this over and over. Every time I razor the track, the side to the right loses its volume on playback. When I scrub through it, it plays at the right volume. When I play it back, it is significantly reduced.

Posting on behalf of the guy I work with: Randomly, when hitting play or scrubbing the playhead, a sound like a record scratch, but much louder blasts through the speakers. If he's doing a mix and has monitor levels up, it can almost sound like a gun shot. He's using the latest Resolve on Windows 10. We've been trying to pinpoint what causes it (codec, audio file, position on timeline etc) but so far haven't made any progress.

I would say since v12 there is this annoying viewer bug.
You can see a line at the bottom right, very pixelated.

2 bugs in V15.2 :

Track destination selection doesn't work for my track by track (only up and down)

In the marker index, the name appears in the Note column, separated of the note itself by a "-", and not in the name column.

+ a feature request : the marker index only shows the Timeline markers, not the Clips markers... is there a way to display the viewer marker also (or to choose between viewer and composer marker with two different tabs) ?

I had some crashes while using JKL in the dynamic trim mode also with h264 media but it seems to happen pretty randomly. And also sometimes, when switching a lot between the edit/color/fairlight pages, the timeline windows turns black...have to restart.

Besides, the version is pretty stable for me.

Thanks !
Alex

I'm unable to save project on resolve 15.2.2 after xml import from premiere. It happens every time.

As a workaround I can export the xml from resolve, quit and then re import the new xml.

Quick Update:
I found that it does this behavior only when I'm working with audio only files like a WAV. When I extend edit with a video clip with sync sound in trim mode, it ripples the timeline as it should normally...but shouldn't this happen with video or sound?

Hey team, working in the recent 15.3 update.

When in Trim mode, it looks like the Extend Edit doesn't ripple the timeline as it should. It works exactly the same is it does in Selection mode. It just trims and leaves a gap. Did a quick screen cap...am I doing something wrong?

PostMon Mar 11, 2019 11:00 am

Hi Davinci Resolve Team!

I am relatively new to DR and still doing the Tutorials from the DR Homepage.
Anyway I always get a crash when i try to use the highlight b/w tool on the color page.

Many Thanks
