I run .057 (you're running .032) - I use a lot of prores files - no crashing there for me (white balancing on cell phone footage causes a crash for me). Win 10, Asus x399, 1950x Threadripper, Samsung 1 tb NVME C drive, 5x 2tb SSD drives in a RAID 5 (media raid), EVGA 1080ti, 32 gb ram.

Try downloading the latest version of 15.

I missed a step..
after I import the media it says it has a different frame rate and I click the change button

Is there a button to update the software?
I didn't see one so I uninstalled and then downloaded the newest version

Still crashes with version .057

You should try 15b5. Which is build 057. I think you have beta 3. Update: didn't see in your last message that you tried 057.

If that still has the issue, we need a Resolve log and a Windows System Information .NFO file.

Resolve log by selecting "Create Diagnostic Log on Desktop" in the Resolve Help menu. Start a new project, to access the Help menu. Don't put any media in it.

.NFO by opening Windows System Information and doing a File - Save.

You can't attach those here, so you need to put them on a file sharing site and provide links to them here.

Okay I created the resolve log with a project that has no media.
I didn't press anything or trigger the crash while resolve created the log - is that correct ?

Resolve Log:

Windows System Information:

Please try the current NVIDIA 398.11 driver:

http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverRe ... 4855/en-us

If you still have issues, please provide an updated Resolve log and .NFO file.

Thanks for your reply. The software still crashes.

New resolve log generated:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1vGVNNn ... sp=sharing

New windows system information:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1x4MqFF ... sp=sharing

If anyone would like to provide me with an alternative media file I'll gladly test that as well and see if I can import it without crashing. The media files I'm using work fine in my final cut pro editor.

Do you have displays connected to the motherboard video? If so, can you move them to the 1080 card and see how that affects things?

Yeah I have had my computer hooked up to the tv the last few weeks with hdmi from the motherboard

Hooked up to the dvi-d port, ran a new test and the media import was successful!
Thank you for your support. I've been waiting for years to finally play with this software.

Three Cheers for Dwaine Maggart
