Resolve 16 public beta (Keyframes all over the place)

PostTue Jun 25, 2019 2:02 pm

Hi, I find that the keyframes are impossible to work with as they don't line up on the playhead where they are put.

For example if doing a dolly zoom effect, I put my playhead magnetically at the start of the clip then mark a keyframe, put it magnetically at the end of the clip and zoom in.

Then when I review it has randomly placed a keyframe in the middle of the clip, not at the beginning.

And yes I know what I'm doing, I haven't had issues before and ive reset the clips several times.

Any ideas?

I haven't seen that with any version of 16 for Windows.

Is there no one else having issues with keyframes on the edit timeline?
I can add position keyframes and see that they are not being placed under the playhead.

...and the timeline owns the keyframes?: if I move a timeline object to a new position, its keyframes are where it used to be. Is there or will there be (this may be my ignorance here) an option to move an object with its keyframes? Often the keyframes are placed against action in a shot.

Is it possible that text objects own their keyframes while footage objects do not?
