15b5 studio I can't get out of Cinema viewer mode

PostSun Jun 17, 2018 10:14 pm

When playing a file in cinema viewer mode I can't get it back to normal view. I hit escape and nothing happens. Have to click quit DaVinci Resolve and then cancel to get back to normal view. Never had this problem with any of the betas. Hope this makes sense. I'm on a iMac 5K.

I have the same problem, but on Windows 10, dual screen layout, Resolve Studio.

Here the problem seems to be once "Esc" is hit when in the full screen viewer. I only managed to get out of it by pressing a key on the numpad and then use the second monitor to switch to another tab.

Using "ctrl-F" to get out of the viewer again works, though.

Thanks I'll try control-F on the Mac. I was able to repeat the problem over and over today. Didn't have this problem until beta 5

Same problem here on a windows 10 64b machine. If I use Shift F ok, Ctrl+F is many time a kiss of death. Have to forece dissolve to quit. I am unable to get out of this mode
Windows 10 64 bits
Davinci Resolve 18.6 Studio
INTEL 8700
32 RAM
NVIDIA RTX 3090

I reported this previously but that post is long gone. This only happens when I try to escape Cinema view while a clip is playing. If I stop playing the clip then there's no problem getting out of Cinema view. Of course, some times I'll forget and I'll try to get out without stopping the clip, in which case I'm stuck, and the worst part is I may not have saved my work before going into Cinema view, so I'll lose all that work when I have to force quit Resolve.

I really hope this is taken care of in the next beta.

Oh, yeah, Windows 10.

I posted the same problem about a week ago. After that I found at least 3 posts describing the same or a similar problem. I am sure they took notice ;)

Oh yeah, I'm positive this bug will be fixed in the next beta.

I haven't had any problems yet with Cinema view in 15b5 under Windows 10 Pro (1803) running a single monitor from a GTX 970. It goes in and out no problem, even during playback.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
