Face Refinement reposition mask or adjust tracking position

PostTue Jul 17, 2018 10:26 pm

Is there a way to adjust or edit the position/rotation of the Face Refinement mask if its out of position?

i.e. the actors face/head tilts— facing the camera —and the mask is out of position, therefore you'd need to relocate and rotate the tracking mask to the correct position on the actors face.

The act would be similar to adjusting any other window, drag it, route it, size it etc...

Is there a way to do this?

I'm using Beta 15, version ending in 057.

Peter, thanks for the response!

The tool seems powerful, though isn’t it unusable without the ability to— at least —drag and reposition the face overlay (points as a whole unit) back onto the face where or when the tracking slips? That is, If one can’t adjust the positioning back onto the face, the mask and any corrections are left floating and visible over other parts of the frame.

Am I missing something?

No, you don't miss anything. It either works or not, depending on the shooting conditions and position of the face.
When it doesn't work there is still mask tracking and all the potential of secondaries.
No, an iGPU is not enough, and you can't use HEVC 10 bit 4:2:2 in the free version.

is there an ETA on this?
It's a great tool.
But I sometimes can't use it if the scene is complicated and faces get sometimes partially blocked.
and then the plugin flickers. wich then takes away the benefit of having it.
Thanks!
