Please make sequence timecode "typeable".

PostSat May 04, 2019 7:45 pm

Loving Frame.io and being able upload, share and get "in time" response and comments.

Unless there's a hidden feature that I can't find, as the editor, I cannot simply type in the timecode that I wish to go to in conjunction with the Frame.io comments. An example of this I have a comment, "missing audio" at 01:12:09:10 I should be able to simply type 120910, hit enter and bam, I'm at that spot in the sequence. As of now, this is not possible and I must scroll there. If I have 5 edits needing to be addressed, fine, I'll get there. But when I have 50 edits needing to be addressed and my deadline is in an hour, it's wasted time.

My apologizes if there's a way to do this.

Thanks,

jv

typing numbers works for me, either using main keyboard or number pad.

Well, thanks for that. I'm glad it's working for you, my question is how? I've added a screen grab of what I see and there is no way to insert timecode numbers there.

you don't ned to insert it there, just have the timeline or timeline viewer active (or source viewer for source t/c) and type away

As stated, whether timeline or source is highlighted just type the timecode (I use the numeric keypad). Really threw me off at first but now it's natural not having to click something first.

THANK YOU!!! It's TOO simple!

If there are others who can't figure it out, you don't have to click on the timecode box to type in the desired TC. Select the viewer and just start typing the TC and hit enter/return. It will move your scroller there.

Let me guess, this has been available since the beginning of Davinci?

Thanks again!
