Lumix GH5 S ALL-I (Intra) 10bit 422 file does not play

Resolve Studio 16 beta 3 does not play correctly the Panasonic Lumix GH5 S ALL-I (Intra) 10bit 422 file. Resolve 15 plays correctly.

It works on my setup at DR16b3 studio.

The file plays for me, and I hear sound, but the image is static. I don't know if that's what it should be or not.

A panning clip would have been more helpful.

Your clip plays for me in Resolve Studio beta 3. Where was that shot?

Works fine for me as well. Are you sure you installed the studio version?

The Amd Radeon RX 580 graphics card has a 19.5.2 software driver. Resolve is a studio version. Video clip is short static scene. The same video files work fine on the same computer on Centos 7 Linux.

Works here on Windows 10 Resolve 16b3 with an RX580 card running 19.5.1. Perhaps try the 19.5.1 driver.

Wow, that looks like driver/software issues.

I would strongly recommend uninstalling all DR software and doing a clean install. DR studio B3 plays the file with audio just fine. As the other mentioned, it's a totally static image I see no motion at all, and without knowing what the original scene was there's no way to know if there are deeper issues.

I have deep knowledge of GH5/s workflows and ALL-I definitely requires that the OS have the proper codecs loaded to be playable, regardless if it's in an NLE or just an OS-supplied media player. And if DR15 played things properly then the software has become corrupted.

Keep in mind, DR16 has massive core-code updates compared to DR15 and, the database is also different. So if you just installed BETA versions over previous gold installation this could be the core issues at hand.

Try a clean install and tell us what's going on.

Installing 16b3 over 15.3.1 is normally fine.

I'd try the 19.5.1 driver before going to all that bother.

Can it have an effect that version 15 and 16 are installed on the same machine.

Yes. That's why we recommend you don't do that.

I uninstalled version 15. I made the clean installation version 16 b3. The problem was removed when I went to preferenses and set "Memory and GPU", "GPU processing mode" to "OpenCL", and "GPU selection mode" to manual.
