Insert Gap

PostFri Jun 07, 2019 6:17 pm

I think it would be super useful to have a keyboard shortcut that adds a preset amount gap clip to a targeted video track. I use clips like this in another NLEs to help pace out an edit, particularly corporate work where there is a lot of interview content.

Use a black clip.

Mhh, I was just looking for such an option. I need to extent my text blocks throughout the timeline, so I want to make some space first. Or is there another way?

Don't know if I understood well you need, but either I insert a black clip or i use shortcuts like Y or shift + Y to select anything coming after one clip to slightly move'em ...

Thanks,

I was hoping for a similar option as in Premiere. I have a lot of titles which I want to extend, but there is not enough space between the titles to just select the right handle and pull it outwards. That's why I needed some more space in between.
It's not a big thing, but I want to prevent me moving all clips manually and find after a few years there was a button for it :).
