[16.1 Deliver] Render Job Failed

PostSun Aug 11, 2019 12:05 am

It doesn't matter where I try to save save, I get the same error even though write permissions are all correct.

DaVinci Resolve is unable to render to the selected path "/Users/kerrygarrison/Desktop" as it does not have write permission. Please ensure that DaVinci Resolve has write permission for the path selected and the first drive you list in Preferences

Hmmm...I have the same issue, but it DOES render out 8 minutes and then fails. Does your project(s) render anything out? BTW, I'm using the default YouTube settings. I'm going to try other settings and see if same issue.

Very weird.

UPDATE:

Rendered to Desktop...using ProRes Master setting...just under 8 minutes this time. Going to guess the codec isn't going to matter.

BUT now I'm not getting the Permissions problem dialog...

good evening, you in appstore not beta version 16.1 added? It is not possible to execute render in h264, h265, the error constantly crashes. Before the update, everything worked fine.

Found a solution to the problem, remove the check mark from the stop render setting. Everything works without problems.

There is a reason why your video has not been processed. If you uncheck this option, the video can be processed in its entirety, but corrupted frames can be replaced with Media Offline alert. I recommend carefully scanning your video after export.

This option is very important and great feature in DaVinci.
It prevents us from exporting the video with the error.

The video was scanned with clone tool on version 16 and everything worked without errors. As soon as it was updated to 16.1, problems with the render began. I would love to roll back to version 16, but the appstore does not have it already.

My Mac starting expiring this render/write failure as soon as I installed 16.1.
Drive permissions are wide open. Wound it back to 16 and it works fine. I'll wait on 16.1.01

please note : I reinstalled resolve but no luck.
also it sometimes export 90% and then fails with error. but sometimes its end with error after 5% .
something is messed up as old version if something had not permission davinci told me right after I hit "export" .

I am also having a lot of problems rendering longer projects in 16.1. The render usually fails with some processing error, e.g. couldn't access a clip even though it's on the storage array and visible in the media pool and timeline.

Returned to the DR 16 version. Everything works perfectly fine, render without problems. Projects are opened together with render cache files.

I just found a quick fix: in Edit page, select all (Ctrl-A) Right clikc and select Render Cache Fusion -> On right click again Render Cache Fusion -> Auto.
