Fusion panel "tool search" box invisible.

PostWed Aug 21, 2019 1:53 pm

Hi All,

Does anyone experience this: the tool search box in Fusion panel is invisible.
It WORKS, but is invisible (the one under Shift+Space, or Ctrl+Space)
It happened in v15, I upgraded to v16 hoping it will fix it, then the newest beta: all the same.
Any ideas? Hidden option somewhere? Or am I making some stupid common mistake?

As I wrote, I checked it on v15.31 16.0 and 16.1.0B.017.
Windows 10, up to date. GeForce GTX 1070Ti.
I am also using Blackmagic Intensity Pro 4K.
Single monitor + one monitor with Intensity Pro.

The tool search window activates, and searches for the tools, but is invisible.

It probably got moved somehow to an unconnected second screen, or maybe it's popping up behind the full-screen output of the Intensity Pro. Here's a trick that will get back any 'lost' window in Windows.

Escape to be sure that the Add Tool window is not currently open. Shift+Space to open it. Alt+Space to activate Windows' window management menu. Type m to activate Move mode. Tap one of the arrow keys. The window will now 'stick' to your mouse cursor. Move the mouse, and you should see the lost window appear under the pointer. Left-click to drop it.

Future Add Tool dialogs should appear in that spot.

This protip needs to be added to the manual. Or better, the bug causing the Select Tool window to go offscreen needs to be solved.

Either way, you just helped me get out of "ultra hard mode" in Fusion ;)

Does anyone know how to fix this on Mac?

I have the same problem:
In fusion tab:
When I Shift-spacebar to open the find/search, I don't see the search box, but after I press the first letter of the search, I see the result of the search at the botton left of the window (status bar?). So I see it's working, but the the search box is invisible. When I hit enter, the node is added.

I'm using DR Studio 18 Version 18.0.1 Build 3

on a Mac:
macOS Monterey
Version 12.5
Mac Studio 2022
32 GB Memory
Thanks in advance.
