mini panel copy/paste

PostTue Feb 04, 2020 7:54 am

i think we talked about it when the panel got out and I dont know if something ever changed:

if i perform a [copy] + [paste] it copy the node I was on to the node I'm in. all good.

what i would like to see in additction, if I do a [long press paste], the whole memory should be copied.

I think this is a reasonable request, but I don't know if the panel can differentiate from a short press to a long press. As far as I know, even the Advanced Panels can't do it.

Now I bet it's possible for a modifier key, like a SHIFT-function button to make this happen. I'd have to pull our Mini Panel out to check to see if it has one. There's still a bunch of User Buttons on there that -- to my knowledge -- have not yet been used.

You can easily put the delay required to 1 seconds: tap and you ge the node, press for a second or so and you get the other…

I dislike double presses, but it could works as well..

And at the end it just adding functionality to the panel: shift/long press/double, I have a preference, but anything that can increase it, it is welcome;

There is a lot of potential missing in all panels.
I hope BMD sees the time each colorist would save each day if they made better use of all those buttons..
