Shapes in color: "ignore sizing"

PostFri Aug 16, 2019 6:29 pm

If a clip has either edit sizing or input sizing, putting a shape serum follow suit, and for the most part it's what w want.

The problem arise when w don't want that: imagine that I want a static vignette, that lock with the timeline geometry, regardless of what the clip does, the is no practical way to do it (there are painful workarounds).

So. Adding a check box in the shape/window submenu where (per shape) set can exclude (ignore) any sizing movement.

Cheap workaround: what about an Adjustment Clip on the Edit page for a vignette (at least in Resolve 16)? I agree it's not ideal, but that will ignore sizing changes.

I have used a post-group for this. Also used a timeline node if needs to be on everything.
I do like the idea of being able to ignore input sizing if necessary!

Group and timeline nodes are already busy...
