Hello All,
My ATEM Television Studio HD PGM Port stopped working
Things I've tried
-Different SDI cables - Cables not issue as the cables were working fine with the AUX ports and the other SDI input ports.
-Powered down and off. Unplugged power for 1 minute + and re-plugged in to power on
-SDI into different monitors and projectors to check if it's a monitor or projector issue.
-Checked the actual port to see any dmg. Never dropped or anything. It usually sits in our foam filled pelican case.
Called blackmagic and they said if there is no physical dmg then it's the circuit board which cost $755 to replace. (No shipping in the product to diagnose option available) So I am not going this route because the unit itself is $995-ish.
Apparently the SDI OUTPUT 5, 6, 7, 8 works as PGM as well. Is this a plug and go method or do I need to change the Program output to SDI OUTPUT port on the ATEM itself? I don't have the unit with me now but I will be testing the unit once I'm at my next event in a few days.
Anyone else experienced this issue? What method of troubleshooting have you tried? Have any of you tried to fix the PGM port by yourself?
I'm failing to understand how this even happened as I do not recall damaging, dropping, or storing it improperly.
Any input would be much appreciated. Thank you all in advance
